Frequently asked questions

Is there a dress code?
No! Come as you are and you'll fit right in. We welcome people from all walks of life and you'll find members wearing a variety of clothing, ranging from T-shirts with gym shorts to a suit.
So you won't "stand out" for what you wear and can come as you are :)
What is the service like?
We have contemporary music (feat. piano, mandolin, drums, tambourine, etc.), Scripture readings, prayer, the Lord's Supper, and a sermon.
We may also have responsive readings, such as from the Heidelberg or Westminster Catechisms.
Is there childcare?
At this time, yes for children ages 5 & under.
Children are invited to the childcare room after the music concludes, and are welcome back into service at the beginning of the Lord's Supper. Childcare is also provided during Sunday School.
Can I have my children with me in church?
Absolutely! In fact, we encourage their participation in worship. While we do have childcare provided for little ones, it is your choice and we welcome whatever you choose to do with your children. No matter what, children are a blessing from the Lord - and you are loved!
What is Sunday School like?
We meet downstairs immediately following the conclusion of Sunday morning service (just follow the crowd or ask, it's easy to find). Children ages 6 and up are welcome to join us as well, as there is a kids section within the main room.
Some snacks and coffee / water is provided, and we have an interactive discussion - sometimes the format is group discussions focused on conversations within each table. Currently, Sunday School is a discussion about the sermon and seeking to dig deeper into what's already been preached.
What should I know about the congregational meal?
It's the last Sunday of each month following Sunday School and is free for anyone who chooses to join us. We have a full meal and dessert, including cake to celebrate birthdays!
This is a wonderful time to get to know others in the body of Christ in a relaxed (and delicious) setting. And sometimes we have leftovers :)
Do I have to be a member of Strong Tower to partake in the Lord's Supper?
No. We invite any member of a Christ-preaching church who has placed their faith in Jesus alone and has been baptized to join us in this family meal.
Do I have to be Presbyterian to attend?
No! You are welcome as you are. We welcome any / all questions you have about what it means to be Presbyterian, but there is absolutely no sort of requirement to attend or partake in service.
