Pastor James Moore
Biography
James Moore, Jr.was born and raised in Franklin, TN. After 3 years of college football and inner city work in Chicago, James returned home to graduate from Trevecca University with a B.S. in Physical Education. After teaching and coaching at his alma mater, James felt the call to full-time ministry in 1997. He moved to Birmingham, AL and became the Urban Area Director for Young Life. Young Life Birmingham became the training ground that would prepare James to become the first Executive Director of Campus Clubs in Macon. Ordained and licensed for almost 20 years, James took a step of faith and, with the help of his wife Dawnita, founded Beyond Words Ministries in 2007. Beyond Words is a leadership and character development program for elementary and middle school students in the Middle Georgia area. The emphasis of this ministry is discipleship. James and Dawnita have 5 sons: Micah, Darron, Christian, Titus, and Jadon.
